FeC Ironworks runs a lean, mobile, fully-insured operation built to plug directly into your shop's workflow or your jobsite. Show up with own gear, hit the production rate, move on. Fillet, PJP, CJP — priced per piece or per hour. Rework included until passing inspection.
Most of my work is subcontract. I'm built to slot into your existing operation — your prints, your WPS, your schedule — without the overhead of bringing on full-time labor.
An extra certified hand on the production floor when your bid cycle is heavy or you're behind on a fab package. Fitting and welding to your prints and WPS, hourly or per-piece.
Certified welder and ironworker, ready to hang iron through to project completion. Bolt-up, plumbing & aligning, moment connection field welding, base plates, misc steel — start to finish or any segment of it.
GCs, erectors, equipment operators, and developers needing certified welding on contract. Flexible engagement — labor-only, with equipment, or full turnkey including consumables.
Structural and stainless welding to AWS D1.1 and D1.6 procedures. All-position, all joint geometries, in shop or in the field.
Two ways to engage: hourly (machine and consumables negotiable per scope) or fixed per-piece for production runs. Same-day rate cards and bid letters. Full rate sheet available on request.
Scope-based hourly billing. Machine, consumables, and PPE supplied by client or FeC — negotiated up front, single line on your PO. Best for shop overflow, field work, and one-off calls.
Fixed per-piece rates for fillet welds, CJP moment connections, and column splices. Predictable for shop production runs where the print is locked. Build your quote live with the calculator.
FeC is owner-operated by Diego Freitas-Bell. No layers, no dispatchers, no markup on subcontracted bodies. You talk to the welder doing the work.
AWS D1.1 certified (unlimited thickness, all-position, FCAW & SMAW) and AWS D1.6 certified (limited thickness, all-position, stainless SMAW). Owner-operator of FeC Ironworks since 2025.
I'm a welder and ironworker, ready to hang iron, bolt up, and plumb steel all the way through to project completion. Step in for one part of the sequence or carry the whole package.
Full-penetration moment connections are my bread and butter. CJP welds are the most demanding joints on the structure: fully inspected, zero margin for a buried defect, and usually sitting right on the critical path of erection. I run them fast and I lay them clean, so they pass UT the first time. No rework on my welds, no inspector holding up your schedule.
Years of structural welding experience across commercial buildings, healthcare, education, and industrial work. Base plates, column splices, deck welding, miscellaneous steel. I've taken structural steel from drawings to topping off: cut, fit, and fabricated. On the shop side, I design and build from scratch and have a love for the game.
If you need a certified hand for a heavy bid cycle, CJP and PJP work on site, or punch-list and field-fix work after erection, I can fill that gap without the overhead of bringing on full-time labor.
Primary operating area covers New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts — concentrated within a 60-mile radius of Westmoreland, NH (Cheshire County). Hotel per diem applies beyond 60 miles at GSA standard rate.
Jobs further afield negotiable. Multi-day mobilizations and short-cycle emergency calls both handled. If your project is on the edge of the map — ask.
Diego's a heavy hitter. Welds clean, welds fast, and works to our procedures. CJPs, fillet welds, no rework, no excuses. He's on my list.
Mobile field welding — FCAW to AWS D1.1, all positions, on site. References available on request; full project list provided with formal bid.
Send the print, the weld detail, or just call. Same-day rate cards and bid letters. No-charge walkthroughs within service area.
